For 20 years, the Nendaz International Classical Guitar Festival has attracted virtuosos from all over the world. Every Friday during the summer, the Bleusy chapel becomes the theatre for intimist recitals. Located in the heart of nature a few kilometres from Nendaz Station, it welcomes renowned guitarists for concerts of the highest quality.

Régis-André Monnier founded the International Classical Guitar Festival in 2005. He is the kingpin. Many relationships woven year after year in the world of classical guitar and music in general allow him to propose every year an exceptional program.

In 2006, a cultural association was created to organize this event. Today it is supported by numerous sponsors, as well as by Nendaz Tourisme and the Commune of Nendaz. In addition, Nendaz Tourisme provides support for communication and concert promotion.

Since the first edition, the seven recitals have seduced the public and the Bleusy chapel has always been sold out. This Festival has now made a name for itself in the classical guitar scene in Switzerland and abroad. It is the fruit of the work of an enthusiast who has been able to attract great soloists in a unique place with remarkable acoustics.

For the past three years, he has also been offering a master class, given by distinguished guitarists, for young talents from Switzerland and abroad.

Today, on the strength of its success, this festival is also thinking of opening up to other classical and traditional string instruments to diversify and help its faithful music lovers discover new horizons.
